It belongs to the species Vigna Unguiculata L.
It is a cream-colored bean with a black eye in the middle, smooth texture and pleasant flavor. Rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, minerals and vitamins.  It is produced all over the northern coast of Peru; once harvested, it is disinfected to be then classified, calibrated and packed for exportation.  The entire process is made under an appropriate quality and sanitation control.
